Description
We have bought, sold and restored some of the most magnificent XK’s on the roads today. In bringing the dream to life I have always described build projects as being like having your first Saville Row suit. For years you have suits and then the time comes to have a suit made for you. Here is such a car. The Jaguar XK140 drophead coupe is regarded as the most desirable of all the XK range. All of the shape and style of the 120 but a ‘better’ car in respect of the steering and critically the ergonomic experience for the driver and passenger. The XK120 dhc is beautiful but it was very hard to find a good seating position. The steering wheel was in your chest and the car just didn’t accommodate bigger people. The 140 dealt with those key short comings of the 120. The engine was moved 4 inches or 10cm’s forward and this created space to find a good driving position with more legroom and a sensible steering wheel position with rack and pinion mechanical improvement making it a much better car to steer too.
Here we have a simply magnificent rotisserie restored and documented restoration of this original left hand drive 140dhc. The bodywork is perfection and the supporting engineering and trim deliver the perfect grand touring XK. You will not be able to fault the restoration of this car. It is that good. For sale through ourselves as the collector owner has built another XK to enjoy and has entrusted us to offer this wonderful car for sale.
The story book documents the restoration and the photos pick up the beautiful lines of the XK. If you want the very best and only perfection is good enough, then you have found it with this car. We can transport the car anywhere in Europe from Portugal and if you are a UK citizen with an Algarve residence then this is the car for you
