Description
The XK120fixed head coupe remains the most beautiful production car ever made in my view. It is a car that from whatever angle you look at it is stunning. So when a car comes to you titled as spares or repair you have to believe it is a car to repair.
This left drive 120 is complete apart from some of its brake components and bumpers. The car is very very solid and straight. Far too good to be broken for spares. The paint has been completely removed to bare metal revealing a super set of wings and doors, bonnet and boot. It presents in red oxide primer and is an ideal candidate for a restoration. The engine is correct 120 and the gearbox is Moss 4 speed. All the gauges and ancillaries are present.
The car doesn’t have an identity because it was removed to use on another build and so this body and drivetrain is crying out to be used on your build to save building a whole new body. I would class this project as a pretty straightforward restoration for somebody who knows what they are doing.
If it doesn’t find a buyer soon I will build it myself. Indeed if you want one building for you then let me know. The car broken for parts and sold is worth more than the car complete. BUT it really wants to be rebuilt and used again in my view. So I am resisting the financial temptation to break it for parts in the hope that we can find a suitable buyer for the entire car.
One for a chat I would say
