1965 Jaguar MkII 3.8
The finest Mark II Jaguar we have ever had the pleasure to drive and sell.
Quite a statement and quite a car. This 3.8litre car was the subject of a full restoration in 1985 by world renowned CMC motors of Bridgnorth.
The restoration allegedly used the last ever Mark II body shell supplied from Jaguar Cars to Nick Goldthorp of CMC.
This body shell complete with doors, wings, bonnet and boot was then used to build this wonderful car. The car is as new and the underside of the car has never been welded or in anyway repaired. It’s astonishing and difficult to describe how good it is. The paint retains a deep shine and lustre. It is body beautiful!
The cabin of the car is equally perfect. Restored back in 1985 but still perfect having mellowed nicely. It is a lovely place to sit.
To drive this car is to imagine how a brand new car would have been in 1965. It doesn’t need power steering and it is so quiet on the road. There is no wind or road noise and you simply waft along the road and motorways effortlessly eating up the miles in style and luxury.
Faultless in every way and rightly the winner of an Autoglym Concours in 1991 the car remains simply superb and absolutely the car for somebody who wants a Mark II that is the best of the best available today.
